Lambeth Mediation Service, friends of the Christian Muslim Forum, are looking for people of all ages from 18 upwards who would like to become Peace Ambassadors for Lambeth. We live in one of the most ethnically diverse boroughs in London, which probably makes us the one of the most diverse places on the planet! Lambeth has:

300,000 people
5 main religions
17 different ethnicities
140 different languages spoken
But we are ONE COMMUNITY

Such diversity brings with it huge opportunities to embrace and celebrate different cultures but also huge challenges to accept understand our differences and respect our faiths. We are looking for special people who are interested in working with people of other faiths and cultures; develop conflict resolution and leadership skills and act as a community anchor, should problems between different groups in the community arise. If that is you and you would like to gain an accredited certificate in community conflict resolution skills then read on.

What are we offering?

Opportunity to:

meet with and build deep friendships and bonds with people of different faiths, cultures and nationalities
become a Peace Ambassador for Lambeth and to act as mediators in any intercultural disputes that may arise
gain an accredited qualification in community conflict resolution
volunteer for Lambeth Mediation Service as a community mediator.

What are we looking for?

Committed individuals who enjoy meeting people of other cultures and building friendships and are willing to undertake 4 days of intensive training leading to a certificate in community conflict resolution.
