Midlands Families
Family Workshop, Karimia Institute, Nottingham
The Christian Muslim Forum is holding this event to explore some of the challenges facing Muslim and Christian families in the East Midlands. If you are a Christian or Muslim (or work for an organisation with a Christian or Muslim ethos) and are interested in family issues come and join us between 6 and 9 p.m. on 16 July. The issues identified at the workshop will be used to inform a national Christian-Muslim Family Conference to be held on 7/8 November 2008 at the Wychwood Park Hotel near Crewe.
We will:
We will:
- Share Christian and Islamic principles and ethics of family life
- Consider the challenges and barriers to family life today
- Explore where Christians and Muslims share similar concerns
- Identify issues to take forward together
Places are limited and we will be seeking to achieve equal numbers of Christians and Muslims.
Light refreshments will be provided from 6 p.m.
Cost: free of charge, but donations to our work are welcome. This event has been funded by The Henry Smith Charity.
